I began training with Jennifer using the Pilates Reformer in the fall of 2014. My daughter's commitment to dance and gymnastics (which I LOVE!) left little time for me to fit in regular classes. I had tried the reformer a few times prior and loved it, so I decided to make it a weekly commitment to myself. At first, it was a very humbling experience for me. Training on the reformer was different than any other workout. I was using muscles I didn't know I had and was the "good" sore even into a few days after a workout. Jennifer asked me what I wanted to gain from our time together.
She took the time to figure out what works best for my body and has been adapting her instruction ever since. She has the perfect balance of knowing when to push me further and when to give my body a break. I truly look forward to our time together every week and am disappointed when I have to reschedule. The hour goes by so quickly and we have so much fun! I have noticed positive changes in my body and an increase in my strength-especially in my core. Having had 2 C-sections, I have always struggled with weak lower abdominal and back muscles. I quickly saw, and continue to see, increased strength in these areas. This has helped with my daily functionality as well. I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new. I am so happy that I did and thankful to have something for "me" each week that I can look forward to! Jessica R
