Energy is like “Cheers”… It is the neighborhood exercise place where everybody knows your name.
From the moment I opened the door that first night over two years ago, when a friend asked me to come and try Pilates, everyone (especially Nancy and Debra) made me feel so welcome and were extremely encouraging and helpful as I was learning and trying something new for the first time.
I remember being a little nervous because I was trying something new that was out of my comfort zone. Now after coming faithfully for the last eight months, I can truly say my whole mindset has changed about what a healthy and strong body looks like. For the first time, I feel like you don’t have to be “rail thin” to be fit or in good shape.
I have seen my body change over the last eight months and it is more than just about the weight that I have lost. My core is so much stronger as are my arms and legs. My balance and flexibility have also improved. I enjoy walking and running but I have never enjoyed any exercise as much as doing Pilates, BARRE, and Yoga. So if you are on the fence, take a chance, step outside the box, open the door and give it a try! You won’t be disappointed! Jolie Boich
