Originally called,"Contrology", Pilates is a low-impact, core intense exercise format developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Pilates classes build overall body strength, flexibility, and create lean muscle tone among many other benefits.
All of our classes as Energy are Pilates based.
- Increased muscle strength and tone, particularly of your abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and buttocks (the ‘core muscles’ of your body)
- Improved posture, physical coordination and balance
- Stabilization of the spine
- Safe rehabilitation of joint and spinal injuries
- Increased lung capacity and circulation through deep breathing
- Increased body awareness
