A book club? At a fitness studio? The answer is YES. Why not? We are Energy and we do things differently. We truly emphasize the importance of getting a healthy full body workout and taking time for you. We also believe in working out our minds. Do you remember the first book that you ever read? Do you remember the book you just couldn't put down or read over and over? Do you remember the nights you read under the covers with a flashlight? We know that you have full time jobs, busy social lives, families, and the time in your day that you invest in our studio. We have decided to make it our goal in 2014 to dedicate more time to reading. We will make a commitment to it each day, rather than waiting until free time comes up. At Energy we work to motivate and encourage each other to be accountable for our workouts. We have fun, we laugh, we share and we become stronger people because of it. SO--we are going to do the same with our book club. Here's how it works. Each month we will read one book. That's it. Our goal is to strengthen the mind, not stress it out. We will try to have a variety of different subjects and authors in our back pockets to introduce to you. At the end of each month we will host an open discussion online and get an informal group together with wine and food at a location of our choosing. Encourage your friends and family to join in as well. Read the book in one weekend, stretch it out by reading a chapter at a a time. It's up to you how to pace it out. Remember, you have all month. Energy will be responsible for posting the monthly book club selection a week or so before the new month starts so you have time to run to the library, the bookstore, or download it online. We would love to accept your suggestions and get your feedback. We choose books a few months ahead of time, so don't worry if you don't see your selection right away. It will be coming. We are excited to introduce our APRIL book club selection to you. A little birdie told us that this book is 20% off at Target right now. Who's in?
