Fitness and nutrition are Amanda’s passions. She didn’t realize this until recently when she had the opportunity to take a break from her career as a Preschool Director (14 years). Her break was much needed too as her and her family lived in three states in five years.
Amanda grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and spent most of her life upside down in a handstand and competing in gymnastics for 13 years. As an adult, she continued staying active by coaching gymnastics and taking any type of aerobic class she could. It was the 75 pounds she gained with her first pregnancy that really kicked her into high gear to learn more about exercise and eating right. She continued to research and study everything she could about how amazing the body is. Then it hit her; she wanted to follow her heart and motivate others to make exercise and eating right a part of their lives. Within a few days, she had registered to return to school!
Amanda graduated from the National Personal Training Institute in October 2014 and has since been training one-on-one and small groups, health coaching and conducting grocery store tours to teach people how to read and decipher food labels properly.
Amanda believes people still need to live their life to the fullest and not be stuck following a chicken and rice weight-lifter kind of diet. Instead, exercise and eating healthy should be enjoyable!
She also believes that adding in homebrew and homemade wine to your life balances everything out!
